DONALD TRUMP

  • Former U.S. president. Accepted the Republican candidacy on July 18. (78 years old)
  • Studied at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1968.
  • Creator of a real estate empire: Trump Plaza buildings, Trump Tower, among others.
  • Married three times; his current marriage is with Melania Trump. He is the father of five children.
  • Authored 14 books, including "The Art of the Deal."
  • Participated in "The Apprentice," a television program designed to create successful entrepreneurs.
  • Elected as U.S. President on November 8, 2016, but lost the re-election.
  • Received criticism for responding late to the COVID-19 pandemic, downplaying the threat.
  • On May 9, 2023, he was found guilty of sexually abusing columnist E. Jean Carroll and is involved in other scandals.

KAMALA HARRIS

  • Vice President. She will be confirmed as the candidate at the Democratic Convention from August 19 to 22. (59 years old)
  • Graduated in 1986 with a degree in Political Science from Howard University, and in 1989 from the University of California Law School.
  • Daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants. She grew up attending a Black Baptist church and a Hindu temple.
  • From 1990-1998: Served as Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, California.
  • 2011-2016: Served as Attorney General of California. From 2017 to 2021, she was a Senator.
  • On August 11, 2020: Joe Biden named her as his running mate, making her the first Black woman to run for the position.
  • On January 20, 2021, she took the oath of office as the first female Vice President of the United States.
  • The progressive is married to lawyer Douglas Emhoff. They have a family that includes two children.
  • "Momala" has written seven books, including "The Truths We Hold: An American Journey."
  • In May 2023: She became the first woman to deliver a speech at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
  • In 2024: She became the first Vice President to visit a clinic in Minnesota that provides abortion services.
